HOW IT WORKS:

You decide what package you would like to start with.  Every morning, I review your current fitness schedule and write you up your daily workout.  Based on your current fitness level, your past and previous workouts and future events and goals, this workout is specifically designed for you, by me.  Each week we work together to improve your cardiovascular, respiratory and strength conditioning. 

How we started:

After racing my road bicycle for 7 years, I decided to go to college and while I was there, I tried out for the tennis team.  I fell in love with the game and two years later I moved to Santa Barbara to teach and learn about the game of tennis and further my education.  I was lucky enough to be excepted at the Tennis Club of Santa Barbara and  while I was working there as an Asst. Pro, I knew that someday  fitness would play as big as a part in tennis success, if not more than, pure tennis strokes and tactics.  Years ago, you had the Spanish "dirt ballers" and the Aussie "Chip and Chargers", but now with the vast amount of knowledge available to all students and coaches, everyone can play on just about every surface due to the the information available. 

A well thought out and customized fitness program is not only beneficial to the people who just want to get in shape and lead a healthier lifestyle, but it is now a most valuable tool to those of us who want to improve our tennis game.  Being fitter means, getting to more balls, better balance and stability, more endurace for long matches, more power on every shot, and better mental toughness.   A little improvement in all of these departments can go a LONG way!  Having coached over 10 professional players over the last 6 years, I have seen the results and  in ALL cases, every single one of them have improved dramatically.

In order to achieve your potential, a very disciplined and progressive program is essential to increasing all facets of your fitness without getting injured or burning out.  All of the people that I work with, I make it a point for them to utilize a heart monitor so that we can work in a progressive manner.

Many trainers charge anywheres from $50 - $100 dollars per workout. I have created a plan where you can be in touch with me on a daily basis and recieve each workout that you can do either by yourself or with your coach.  I have found this to be very effective as well as a money saver for those of us who want to train like a professional and have a program that is specifically designed for you.  Fitness can be broken down into different cycles; both Macro and Micro.  These will be designed for you and will allow for gradual and effective increase in performance and fitness.
